Why Crush Tint has only four actives

A short ingredient list is a decision, not a shortcut. What each of the four is doing over twelve hours of wear.

Long ingredient lists are easy. Every additional extract is a line on the carton and a claim for the marketing page, and almost none of them survive being asked what they change about how the product performs.

Hyaluronic acid — so twelve hours does not cost you

A foundation sitting on skin all day will pull moisture out of it unless something holds water in the film. That is the whole job here, and it is why Crush Tint does not settle into fine lines by the afternoon.

Squalane — so it absorbs instead of sitting

Plant-derived and near-identical to what skin produces on its own, which is why it sinks in rather than leaving a layer. It is also what makes the texture feel like nothing.

Niacinamide — so wear does not read as wear

Evens tone and strengthens the barrier over weeks, not minutes. The slow one on the list, and the reason regular users stop needing as much coverage.

Non-nano zinc oxide — protection without the cast

A mineral filter, broad spectrum, milled fine enough to disappear on every depth in the range. Chemical filters would have been easier to formulate around and worse for sensitive skin.

What did not make it

Fragrance, essential oils and drying alcohol are all absent by choice. They make a product more pleasant in the first thirty seconds and worse for the next twelve hours.
